Emily grew up in Kirkland, WA before making her way to Bellingham to attend Western Washington University in 2010. Like a lot of people, once she moved here she never left. She met her husband Tyler (a Bellingham local), and they have a cat named Minnow, a rescue puppy named Twiggy, and two chickens.
Through a variety of jobs, Emily discovered a knack for breaking down complex subjects into clear, easy-to-understand concepts and realized that finance was a great industry to put that skill to work. She joined the West Invest team in 2023 as our Client Communication Specialist. She has a degree in Philosophy and a Life and Disability insurance license and balances analytical thinking with human understanding when supporting our clients.
You might find yourself working with Emily:
- When she creates educational videos, newsletters, or social media posts to help make financial topics more accessible,
- If you have questions about health insurance in retirement, and
- At West Invest events such as informational presentations.
